

A loving free spirit with the soul of an artist best describes Samuel (Sammy) Wayne Bailey, 34, who passed away unexpectedly in Texas on March 15, 2017. Sammy was born June 14, 1982 to his loving parents, Glenn and Dollie (Edwards) Bailey in Cleveland County, NC. Sammy graduated from Hunter Huss High School where he was voted the most creative in his senior class of 2000. Sammy loved to travel and he later joined the Renaissance Fair and worked with them for over 10 years. He was very musically talented and played several instruments including the violin, bass guitar and banjo.
Sammy leaves behind to cherish his memory his mother and father, Glenn and Dollie Bailey of Gastonia, NC; and brother, Michael Bailey of Dallas, NC; many other relatives and friends.
A celebration of his life will be held at 2:00 PM, Saturday, March 25, 2017 at Carothers Funeral Home at Gaston Memorial Park. Pastor Ken Faulkenbury will preside.
The family will receive friends from 1:00 – 2:00 PM, Saturday prior to the service at the funeral home.
