Sandy is the daughter of the late Catherine (Weaver) Summey and Charles Brady Summey.
Sandy leaves behind her husband of 55 years, Larry Albright. Her legacy includes her sons, Gregg Albright and his wife Alicia and David Albright and his wife Jennifer. Sandy leaves behind her sister, Pam Harris and her husband Lynn. Grieving the loss of their grandmother are her granddaughters, Allison, Caitlyn and Paisley.
Sandy retired from Gaston County Schools after 30+ years. She touched the lives of countless children through her wisdom, kindness, and mentorship. She was patient, humble, kind, generous and nurturing.
Sandy loved her family and adored her granddaughters. She loved having her family over every Sunday for lunch. She enjoyed attended anything her granddaughters were involved in. When it came to family she was always the first there and the last to leave.
A celebration of Sandy’s life will be held at 4:00 PM on Saturday July 9, 2022 at Carothers Funeral Home, 2205 Williamsburg Drive, Gastonia. The family will greet guests after the service. Pastor Mark Etchison, of Maylo United Methodist Church, will officiate and offer words of encouragement and hope to family and friends that gather to remember Sandy.
