Sarah was born and raised in Gaston County, where she also made a life for herself and her three children. She found so much joy in spending time with her children, her grandchildren and her extended family. Large family gatherings were always a time of happiness and laughter. Sarah was incredibly proud of all of her grandchildren and never missed a moment to brag about each one of them. Additionally, some of her fondest memories were spending time with friends. Sarah often talked about co-workers who became friends during her time at Saunders Thread, Western Sizzlin, and Sun Terrace. Sometimes you are lucky enough to have a few friends who stick around for a lifetime, Linda Moore and Diane Honeycutt were those friends for Sarah. “Oh what fun we had,” she would often say when reminiscing on their many adventures together.
