Sharmane Howard, age 66, of Charlotte, North Carolina passed away on Monday, November 15, 2021. Sharmane was born December 13, 1954 in Grayson County, Virginia.

She is preceded in passing by her parents, Pervis Jackson and Emmer Margaret Howard; sisters, Lisa Howard and Barbara Howard.

Sharmane is survived by her son, Andrew Matthan Howard; grandchildren, Easton Howard and Pierce Howard; nieces, Amanda Smith (Howard), Hillary Johnson, Zoey Howard, Selah Smith, Sky Howard, Audri Howard, and Verity Howard; nephews, John David Howard, Justin Howard, Seth Smith, Luke Smith, and David Jacob Smith; aunts Paris Phipps and Hazel McMillian.

A graveside service for Sharmane will be held Sunday, November 21, 2021 at 8:30 AM at Gaston Memorial Park, 2205 Williamsburg Drive, Gastonia, North Carolina 28054. Rev. Dr. Benjamin Hinton will be officiating.

Following the graveside service will be a celebration of life service at 3:00 PM at Vaughan-Guynn Funeral Home, 201 W. Center Street, Galax, Virginia 24333.
