

Thomas Cleveland Kallam, 81, of Gastonia, passed away peacefully on Sunday Morning August 29, 2021 after an extended illness. Tom was a devoted Christian and an active member of Southminster Presbyterian Church in Gastonia. Tom loved fishing and golfing. He was a proud Eagle Scout. Tom missed his wife dearly. His wife, Shirley, passed in December 2020 and the couple is now rejoicing that they are together once again. All that knew and loved him will miss Tom.
Tom is the son of the late Frances (Shumate) Kallam and David Kallam. His wife, Shirley, also precedes him in death.
Left to remember Tom and to carry on his legacy are his daughter Teresa Molby, her husband Jeff and son Todd Kallam, and his wife Tara. Missing their grandfather are Taylor Gillis and her husband David, Sydni Kallam and her significant other Chris, Andrew Molby and Will Molby. Tom’s legacy includes his two great-grandchildren Joseph and Remi.
The family will hold a graveside service at 10:00 am on Saturday September 4, 2021 in The Garden of Valor at Gaston Memorial Park, 2205 Williamsburg Drive, Gastonia. Reverend Lonnie Karriker will offer words of encouragement and hope to family and friends that gather to remember Tom.
