Thomas Thurman Walters

Thomas Thurman Walters, 87, of Gastonia passed away on Friday, April 20, 2012 at Greenville Memorial Medical Center. He was born March 31, 1925 to the late Toy Jackson Walters and Pearlie (Alewine) Walters.

Mr. Walters is survived by his daughter, Brenda White and husband Joe of Rock Hill, SC; grandchildren, Kevin White of Rock Hill, SC, Timmy, Roger, James, and Robbie Walters and Lisa Torres all of Belmont, NC; sister, Gladys Franklin of Gastonia; caregiver, Ruth Cobb of Townville, SC.

Mr Walters was preceded in death by his wife, Ruby Mae Whitaker Walters, son, Jimmy Walters and one sister, Frances Payseur.

The family will receive friends from 6:00-8:00 pm, Monday, April 23 at Carothers Funeral Home, 312 West 2nd St, Gastonia.

A graveside service will be held at 11:00 am, Tuesday, April 24 at Gaston Memorial Park. Dr. Jim Klukow will preside.
