Timothy "Scott" Whitley

on January 29th, 2026, in the loving hands of his family. Scott was

born in Gastonia NC on September 7th, 1973. Scott graduated

from Ashbrook High School and received his Bachelor’s in

Business from Belmont Abbey College. Scott was a faithful

member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints and

had a passion for serving others. When Scott wasn’t spending

time with his family and friends, you could find him in the river

fishing, taking his kids to a baseball game, or watching sports on

TV. He was survived by his four children Shelbi, Preston, Alexis,

and Savannah Whitley as well as his sister Wendy and mother

Paula Whitley. Funeral arrangements will be held at 2:00pm,

February 4th, 2026, at Gaston Memorial Park.
