Victoria (Vickie) Lee Clark Hill, 79, of Lowell passed away on Monday, April 27, 2026, at CaroMont Regional Medical Center in Gastonia, NC. She is now at peace and in the presence of her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.
Born in Lincolnton, NC, on November 9, 1946, Vickie was the youngest of three daughters born to John Edward (J.E.) Clark and Mazel Gordon Clark.
Diagnosed with Polio at the young age of eighteen months, she faced early hardships with a resolve that characterized her entire life, refusing to let physical challenges limit her.
After many years of dedicated service, Vickie retired from the main office of Pharr Yarns, Inc.
She was preceded in death six months ago by her beloved husband of 64 years Roy (Nicky) Dale Hill. Both were long-time and faithful members of McAdenville Baptist Church.
The joys of Vickie’s life were her children and grandchildren. She was the happiest when the family was gathered together around the family swimming pool or during their annual Fourth of July beach trips. Known for her major sweet tooth, she would never turn down a bowl of ice cream on the balcony at the beach.
Vickie’s strength and love will live on through her two sisters, with whom she shared a lifetime of friendship and memories: Betty Bishop and Ann Hill, along with Ann’s husband, Jim.
She is survived by her sons and daughters-in-law: Jeff and Dana Hill, Barry and Elizabeth Hill, all of whom she loved dearly. Vickie was so proud of her 6 grandchildren, her great grandchild and numerous nieces and nephews.
The family will have a Celebration of Life Service on Saturday, May 2, 2026 at 12:00 pm at Carothers Funeral home at Gaston Memorial Park, 2205 Williamsburg Dr, Gastonia, NC 28054. Following the service, Vickie will be laid to rest at Gaston Memorial Park, 1200 S New Hope Rd, Gastonia, NC 28054.
