

Bill was born in Hamilton County, Ohio, to the late Lawrence and Edna Frietch. He was also preceded in death by his brother, Richard Frietch.
Bill entered the United States Navy on October 5, 1966, beginning a long and dedicated career that led him to the rank of Chief Petty Officer. He later served as the Commanding Officer for the Naval Sea Cadet program in Charleston, SC. Known for his compassion and love for people, Bill lived out his faith as a devoted follower of Jesus and a member of Hardin Community Baptist Church in Dallas, NC. After retiring from the Navy, Bill enjoyed a second career as a kitchen designer at Home Depot, where he excelled in helping families create the kitchens they dreamed of.
Bill is survived by his loving wife of 57 years, Carol Allison Frietch; sons, Billy Frietch (Leslie) and Mark Frietch; daughter, Kim Dickerman (Moshé); grandchildren, McKenzie Frietch, Allison Frietch, Trace Frietch III, and Skylar Dickerman; aunt, Mary Jane Shanklin; as well as many other loving family members.
A visitation will be held at Hardin Community Baptist Church, 548 Hardin Rd, Dallas, NC 28034, US, on Sunday, March 22, 2026, from 1:00 pm to 1:45 pm, followed by a funeral service at the same location at 2:00 pm. Military Honors will be conducted at the church cemetery after all services.
