To Jamie and the Martin family. Marc was an exceptional colleague at NSERC: always thoughtful, dedicated and happy to help anyone. I have been amazed by how he was always willing to take time to help others no matter how busy he was. Such a generous person. He will be greatly missed.
My deepest sympathies. Mes pensées sont avec vous.

My sincerest condolences to family and friends.
Marc started his NSERC journey as a contractor at Support Central. He was a very kind, gentle and thoughtful man towards clients and colleagues. A smart guy and it didnt take him long once he had his foot in the door as an employee to climb the council ladder and leave the rest of us in his dust trails. :)
However, he never forgot about us. He visited often and always helped push Support Central interests wherever he was. He will be truly missed by all.

My heartfelt condolences to dear Jamie and all those who loved Marc.

I came to know Marc well while working at NSERC, and always enjoyed his intelligence and open-hearted warmth. He had a hilariously dry sense of humour, and he was so focused and creative in his work. It was a privilege to watch him mature over the years and to achieve so much. He was a wonderful person and was loved and respected by all who knew him.

He talked often, and always with love and pride, about his life with Jamie, his beloved family, and his home province of New Brunswick. I so wish he could been with his loved ones - and with all of us - longer.

The world is a poorer place without him.

“Hail the Traveler! We commit you back from where you came — to the arms of your ancestors.

May there be peace where there was anger.

May there be healing where there was hurt.

Go quickly to the place that your old ones called home.

For those who grieve for your passing, let there be healing.

For those who grieve for who you were, let there be healing.

For those who grieve for what you could have been, let there be healing.

Hail the Traveler. We celebrate your journey.”

One of the last few times we got together we discussed how our little group made up a family unit. Marc brought a sense of humanity and groundedness that will be hard to replace. And that's what makes his passing so much harder is that we lost not only a close friend but also a close family member.

Sleep well my brother

I was greatly saddened to hear of Marc’s sudden passing. As an NSERC colleague, Marc was one of the most thoughtful, patient, and helpful person I had the pleasure to work with over the years.

May his family and loved ones find peace and comfort in their cherished memories during this difficult time.

You will be greatly missed Marc. Carpe diem.

My deepest condolences to Jamie and the rest of Marc's family. I will always remember Marc for his wonderful smile. He was so full of life and brought fun to the office. I'm thankful for our many chats, be it about work or life outside of work. He was always eager to talk about Jamie and their trailer, and his family out east. He was always so thoughtfull, and often poking his head in my office to see how I was doing. He made sure that I felt included in the tight knit family that is PrOps. I will miss you greatly Marc, you will not be forgotten.
