It is with a heavy heart we say goodbye to our beloved father, grandfather and friend, Robert DeVries, of Gatineau, QC, who passed away on October 24, 2016 at 5:10 a.m. at the age of 79. After his brief battle with leukemia, he joins his parents, cherished wife Catharine Nadeau and son Michael Devries. He leaves behind his 5 children: Vic, Ann, Linda, Bob and Carolyn as well as 13 grandchildren and 16 great-grandchilren as well as many relatives and friends. Family and friends are invited to Racine, Robert & Gauthier Beauchamp, 105 Greber Blvd., Gatineau, on Sunday, October 30, 2016 from 2-4 p.m. and 7-9 p.m. Funeral service will be held on Monday, October 31, 2016 at 11 a.m. in St. Aloysius Gongaza Church, 300, de l'Abbé-Murray, Gatineau. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Canadian Cancer Society or the Diabetes Association would be appreciated.
