Allen Leon Doris was born August 13, 1930 in Hammond, Indiana, the son of Wilfred and Rosalie Doris. He passed from this life September 18, 2021 in Houston, Texas. Allen had lived in Texas since the late 1990’s, moving here from Indiana. He held a Bachelor degree in Engineering from Purdue University and worked in the Oil industry for many years. Allen and Joann McGroarty were united in marriage on September 6, 1952 in East Chicago, Indiana. She preceded him in death on July 3, 2016. He was also preceded in death by his parents, and a son, Martin Doris.
Allen enjoyed traveling with his wife and investing in the stockmarket. He also enjoyed playing poker, bridge and chess and Sudoku.
He is survived by his children, Ronald Doris and Juliann Doris.
Graveside services will be held on Wednesday, September 22, 2021 at 11:00 AM at the Our Lady of the Rosary Cemetery in Georgetown, Texas.
