Angelet Taylor

Angelet Taylor was born September 12, 1927 in Newbern, Alabama. Her family moved to Birmingham, Alabama at the age of seven to start formal education. She attended Parker High School in Birmingham, Alabama and later took courses at Lewis College of Business in Detroit, Michigan where she excelled at Secretarial training, writing and poetry.

All except one of her siblings have preceded her in death: brothers - Willie Burnett and Earl Burnett Jr; sisters - Earnestine Baker & Veronia Clark. Also preceded in death are two grandchildren – John Turner Jr and Tyra Manns.

Angelet symbolized her dedication to Jehovah God in 1950 at the Yankee Stadium in New York. Thereafter, she continued a life course of service through many trials and adversities. She is better known for her love, devotion and zeal for Kingdom truths by all those whose lives she touched.

She enjoyed cooking, sewing, singing, writing poetry, gardening, traveling, playing cards with friends & relatives among other activities. She was known for her generosity. You rarely ever left her home empty handed.

Her memory will be cherished by eight children: Veronia, John, Paul, Angie, Christine, Melinda, Willie and Marvin. One brother – David Burnett, 11 grandchildren – Audra, Lamar, Carla, Karla, Edwin, Isaac, Tiffany, Christopher, Ethan, Makia & Kamia. 16 great grandchildren and beloved nieces and nephews, and dear friends especially in Michigan, Alabama and Texas.

Hebrews 6:10 – “For God is not unrighteous so as to forget your work and the love you showed for his name by ministering and continuing to minister to the holy ones.”
