Anita Diaz Jones

Anita lived her days serving Christ and sharing the word of the Lord with everyone she encountered. Her devout Christian faith opened the doors to a career in nursing, lasting 39 years, where she provided exceptional care to all those in need. As a lifelong resident of Georgetown, Anita raised four children instilling in them the Christian beliefs passed down from her mother. Full of love, she was always just a phone call away.

Anita was preceded in death by her parents Henry Peaslee and Anita Zamora Diaz and brothers Thomas Diaz and Jimmy Diaz.

She is survived by her sister, Martha Hurtado and husband Ignacio; brothers, Richard Diaz, Robert Diaz, Randy Diaz and Edward Diaz and wife Robin; children, Michael Gabriel Jones, Travis William Jones, Priscilla Anne Jones and Christian Mitchell Jones; and numerous nieces and nephews.

A time for visitation will be held Saturday, April 14th from 6:00 - 8:00 p.m., at the Cook-Walden Davis Funeral Home in Georgetown. Funeral services will be held on Sunday, April 15th, 3:00 p.m., at Crestview Baptist Church with Brother Jarvis Philpot officiating. Interment will follow at I.O.O.F. Cemetery in Georgetown.

Serving as pallbearers are Christian Jones, Michael Hurtado, James Hurtado, Matthew Hurtado, Robert Diaz, Randy Diaz, Tommy Diaz and Ricky Diaz.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Crestview Baptist Church at 2300 University Avenue, Georgetown, Texas 78628 in memory of Anita Diaz Jones.
