Antonia was born in Georgetown Texas on June 21 1936 to parents Juana Ramirez and Carlos Rodriguez. She was one of twelve siblings that consisted of 6 sisters and 5 brothers.
Antonia met the love of her life and her future husband Guadalupe Solis and later got married in July of 1955. They then put roots down in Andice and Florence, Texas where they had six children and raised many others; something that was in Antonia's blood, she deeply valued her family. She worked a few jobs before becoming a full-time homemaker. As her family began expanding she switched into the role of doting grandmother which was by far her favorite.
She loved spending time with her family and friends, cooking in her kitchen, or watching her favorite telenovelas. Antonia was a very giving individual with a huge heart. Her home was always open to anyone and everyone and no one left her home hungry. She was a big Dallas Cowboys fan and you could find her every Sunday during football season wearing navy blue and silver cheering them on.
Antonia was predeceased by her husband, Guadalupe Solis, and son, Gilbert Solis. She is survived by her five children: Dolores Solis-Escutia, of Houston; Richard Solis and his wife, Cristina, of Belton; Anthony Solis, of Florence; Susan Henry of Florence; and Simon Solis and his wife Sharesa of Florence. She leaves behind nine grandchildren, seventeen great-grandchildren, and four great-great-grandchildren whom she loved deeply. She also leaves behind many other family members and dear friends all of who will sadly miss her.
