

Born on June 15, 1932 in Mart, Texas to Adolph William Holle and Eddie Alice Bettis, he was the fourth of six children. He lived and worked on his family’s farm until he left for service in Korea with the United States Navy in January of 1949. He proudly served on the aircraft carrier USS Oriskany.
He met and married the love of his life on March 7, 1958. Together they raised six plus children. Their doors were always open to friends and family. He worked for the Texas Education Agency until retirement in June 1993. In retirement he was blessed with seventeen grandchildren and four great grandchildren whom he adored. He was an avid football fan, especially loyal to the Houston Oilers, Texas Longhorns, Kansas City Chiefs and any team one of “his” was playing on.
In April 1996 they moved to Georgetown, Texas and were members of the Georgetown Church of Christ. He was firm in his faith and took an active role as a spiritual leader. He loved football, eating out and family gatherings. He will never be forgotten by anyone whose life he touched.
He is preceded in death by his wife, Zela Elise Kaster Holle, parents and brothers, Billy Holle and Donald Holle. He is survived by his children Jan Holle Browning of Austin, Gayle and George Tyler of Georgetown, Dawn Holle and Mitchel Kennedy of Georgetown, Eric and Michelle Holle of Austin, Jill and Steve deVilleneuve of Georgetown, and Scott and Joanna Holle of Georgetown, seventeen grandchildren, four great grandchildren, sisters and brothers-in-law Donald and Betty Beauchamp of Semi Valley, California, John and Imogene Cobb of Mineola, Texas and Keith and Bobbie Saltzman of Savannah, Texas, numerous nieces, nephews and extended family.
The family will receive guests for a time of visitation from 6:00- 8:00 P.M. Friday, May 25, 2012 at Cook-Walden Davis Funeral Home in Georgetown. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 P.M. on Saturday, May 26, 2012 in the chapel of Cook-Walden Davis Funeral Home with Minister Tim Curtis officiating.
