Beatrice Miller

Our beloved mother, Nellie Beatrice Miller, passed on March 9, 2025, at 96 years young. She was born on December 17, 1928, in Taylor, Texas to Lurlene Queen and King Rose. With gratitude for the time she graced our lives, we celebrate her as a wonderful wife, mother and friend.

She was predeceased by her husband of 70 years, Sammie Miller, her mother, father, sister Kathryn, great-grandchildren Jade Guajardo, Vincent Miller, Jr. and Jordan Miller. She is survived by her children Susan Howard (Quincy), Norma Clark (Richard), Sammie Miller Jr., and Ernest Miller (Debbie), grandchildren: Yolanda Guzman, Yvette Budd, Shauntae Benton, Brad Miller, Ernest Miller Jr., Vincent Miller, Vonetta Cain, Cecilly Shelton, Richard Clark Jr., and Eric Clark, and a wealth of great-grandchildren, great-great-grandchildren and cousins.

Having worked as a laundress, Beatrice knew fabric. With a flare for fashion; she always appeared sharp and pressed. She was a gracious hostess; her inviting food and desserts made occasions special. She was a longtime member of the Masonic Lodge, Socialites (all-women’s club), and GCCMA (Georgetown Cultural Citizens Memorial Association), where she oversaw hospitality and was awarded for her devotion to service. As a devout Christian, she served on St. Paul UMC’s board of trustees, and as a class leader and choir member; her light shining through her rich voice. Her humor, support and love will not be forgotten.

On March 22, 2025, the family will host Visitation at 10AM with a Remembrance Service following at 10:30AM, at Cook-Walden Davis Funeral Home, 2900 Williams Drive, Georgetown, TX 78628.
