Bernice Alter Hanson

Bernice Alter Hanson, 85 of Round Rock, Texas passed away on Friday, August 12, 2011. Bernice was born on June 10, 1926 in The Bronx, New York to the late William and Helen Brand Alter. She is also preceded in death by the father of her children, Morty Kester and her second husband, William Taylor. After graduation from high school she went onto attend business school, which benefited her in the operation of her family business in later years. Bernice and her husband Morty owned and operated an exclusive beauty supply company for many years. Bernice in later years lived in the North Miami Beach, Florida area. There she continued her faithful attendance and contributions to the local synagogue. It was in the summer of 1967 that Bernice moved to the Round Rock area. Bernice leaves behind to cherish her memory her husband, Eugene Hanson; her children, Eileen Kester and Leslie Ward and her husband Charles; her granddaughter, Mallori Kester; her dear friend, Roz Blumefeld; her dear friend and care taker, Delia Stinson; along with numerous other loving family members and friends. Bernice’s family would like to extend a special thank you to the caretakers from Hospice Compassus, especially her nurse, Amy and her doctor, Dr. Quan Tran Dang. The loving care and the support they showed Bernice and her family during this difficult time are greatly appreciated.
