Billie Wesson Arnold

Billie Wesson Arnold passed away on Thursday, June 16, 2011 at the age of 85. A native Texan born in Elgin, Billie was a renowned Big Band singer in Austin and retired from the Texas Legislature after 35 years of service to Governors, Senators and Representatives.

Billie is survived by her husband of 56 years David Alexander Arnold Sr., son David Jr., wife Michelle and their children Austin and Makenzie. Her daughter Saralee Fairburn and husband Scott have four children Sasha, Shea, Seth and Stefan. She is also survived by two of her four sisters; Ruth Jones of Austin and Cleo Eby of Ohio.

A celebration of life will be held at the Cook-Walden Davis Funeral Home Chapel in Georgetown, Texas on Sunday June 19, 2011 at 2:00 o'clock in the afternoon. Memorial donations in memory of Billie may be made to the non-profit Austin Theatre Alliance youth programs in support of the Paramount Theatre where she often sang.
