Charles Ali

Charles "Chuck" Ali was called to be with his Sovereign Lord Jehovah on February 6, 2021, due to complications of liver failure and brain cancer. Chuck was born in Bayone, New Jersey to Charles "Charlie" Ali and Kate Gallagher Ali. After Chuck graduated from high school, he jointed the Marines and was proud to serve his country fighting in the Vietnam War from 1967 to 1970. Stationed in Da Nang, Chuck earned the Combat Action Ribbon, Vietnam Campaign medal, Vietnam Service medal, and the Good Conduct medal. Upon returning home, he began his lifelong career as a computer technician for AT&T and raising his three children with his first wife, Paula.

In December of 2002, Chuck was baptized as a Jehovah Witness, and began his lifelong devotion of his faith.

Chuck's marriage to Paula ended in divorce after 27 years. He then was married to Sally and moved to Brownsville, TX to escape the cold winters. His marriage ended in divorce and he moved to San Antonio, then Austin, and finally Georgetown in 2011. That is where he met and fell in love with Carolyn Delong whom he married on his birthday, December 1, 2012,

Chuck is predeceased by his parents, and his two younger brothers, Robert (Bob) Ali of New Jersey, and Richard (Richie) Ali of San Antonio.

He is survived by his devoted wife, Carolyn, and his loving sister, Ali Gallagher, her sons; Lion, Sean, and Colin, and his daughters, Kathryn (Kit) Higgins and husband, Jim, Tammy Katon and husband Mike, and Chuck's son, Chip Ali. Also stepson, JP Lelong and wife, Katie, stepdaughter, Celeste Santillano and husband, John. Eight grandchildren: Amy, and husband Max, Alex, Max, Anthony and wife, Melissa, Ryan, Molli, Charlie, and Calvin. One great granddaughter, Addison Cathcart and nephews; Richard "Rich", of San Antonio, and David and Rob of New Jersey.

Chuck was an avid fisherman, had a wonderful sense of humor, and he was an excellent cook for his family and friends. He will be missed by all!
