Charles Anton Petru, Sr.

Charles A. Petru, Sr. 98, passed away on August 10, 2008 in Georgetown, Texas. Charles was born January 15th, 1910 in Cameron, Texas. Charles was preceded in death by his wife of 50 years, Hattie, three brothers, a sister and a grandson. He survived by his children, Clem, Ben, Laddie, Charles, Ed, Larry and his daughter Dorothy. He is also survived by four brothers, nineteen grandchildren, thirty-eight great grandchildren, and three great-great grandchildren. Visitation will be held at The Gabriels Funeral Chapel, Georgetown, Texas on Tuesday, August 12, 2008 from 6-8pm with a Rosary to be recited at 7pm. Visitation will also be held at Sacred Heart Catholic Church on Wednesday, August 13, 2008 from 6-8pm with a Rosary to be recited at 7pm. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10am on Thursday, August 14, 2008 Sacred Heart Catholic Church, 6502 County Road 48, Manvel, Texas. Interment will follow at South Park Cemetery.
