Born in Georgetown on August 17, 1951, she grew into a woman whose humor, compassion, and grace shaped every room she entered. Anchored by a strong and steady faith, Cheryl devoted her life to serving others. After graduating from nursing school, she began the career she would cherish for decades and where she formed many lifelong friendships.
She dedicated 49 years of service to St. David’s Georgetown Hospital, becoming a beloved presence known for her kindness, reliability, and the dignity and warmth she extended to every patient and colleague. Her work was not merely a profession but a calling, and she fulfilled it with unwavering devotion.
She had a gift for making ordinary moments feel extraordinary — whether through her storytelling, her thoughtful gestures, or her ability to turn even difficult days into something manageable. She loved deeply and without hesitation, and her family was her greatest joy.
She leaves behind to cherish her memory her son, Kevin Spicer, and his wife, Kelly, of Allen, TX; her brother, Robert Spicer, and his wife, Joan, of Georgetown, TX; her niece, Jasmine Spicer, of Houston, TX; her nephew, Jason Spicer, of Georgetown, TX; her nephew, Greg Spicer, of Round Rock, TX; her nephew, Michael Evans, of Houston, TX; her nephew, Breese Powell, of Chicago, IL; her niece, Valree Shaw, and her husband, James of Forest Hill, TX; and her niece, Tamara Williams, and her husband, Derek, of Cedar Hill, TX.
She is preceded in death by her brother, Leo Spicer Jr.; and her parents, Leo Spicer Sr., and his wife, Gladys Spicer.
A gathering to honor her life will take place at Cook-Walden Davis Funeral Home, 2900 Williams Drive, Georgetown, Texas 78628, on August 21, 2026, from 4:00 pm to 7:00 pm.
The funeral service will occur at Cook-Walden Davis Funeral Home, 2900 Williams Drive, Georgetown, Texas 78628, on August 22, 2026, at 11:00 am. Burial will follow at IOOF Cemetery, 1117 E 7th Street, Georgetown, Texas 78626 at 1:30 pm.
