Born on March 5, 1954, Curtis was a proud native of Nebraska and a lifelong supporter of his alma mater's football team, the Nebraska Cornhuskers. He dedicated over 36 years of distinguished service to the FDIC, where he numerous leadership roles in Credit,Investigations, Customer Service, Contractor Oversight, Financial Institution Closures, and Administration.
It was during his time at the FDIC that Curtis met the love of his life, Claressa Sprague. They shared 25 years of marriage filled with devotion, laughter, companionship.
Curtis lived a rich and meaningful life, spreading joy, kindness, and wisdom to all who knew him.
He had a passion for board and card games, often engaging in spirited (and sometimes humbling) competitions, punctuated by inside jokes and shared laughter. His unique ability to evoke both groans and smiles made every game a memorable experience.
Though he had no biological children, Curtis embraced his role as a loving stepfather to Alonzo and Tamai Tisdale, and as a proud grandfather to Justice, Legend, A.J., and Galaxy. While our hearts ache at his loss, we find solace in knowing that he is at peace. Rest in eternal peace, dear Papa Curtis. Your love, laughter, legacy will forever remain in the hearts of all who shared life's journey with you.
