So sorry to hear of Dan's passing -- yet knowing he has risen to a new and healed life somehow brings warmth to the hearts of his family and friends.  His family always came up in his conversations.  They were his strength ...from his parents building on the land that stretched across the creek bed to the many years he had raising his own family.  Next, was the value he held for the soil under his feet.  It opened his heart to a handshake, was shown through the toughness in his hands, and taught him the ability to fix what was broken.  Finally, the life he lived and enjoyed with his friends, his motorcycle, and his days in Texas and around the world could be seen in his face.  He knew and valued how others made him a better person.  Living across the road from Dan for twenty years has shown me an honest man, a good person, and a true Texan ... thanks for the visits and conversations.

But one thing I know your enjoying seeing your parents right now in the kingdom of God!  Here on earth as you talked about them with brightness in your eyes. God Bless you Dan and Rest in peace. Prayers are being sent to YOUR Daughter Denise as she  is to fine the right direction to settle with this unexpected time in her life and what might challenge her.
