

Dana Jacquelyn “Sunny” Ullrich, age 69, of Houston passed away on Saturday, July 30, 2011. She was born on December 14, 1941 in Austin to parents Ralph Owen Queen, Sr. and Ruby Evelyn (Jenkins) Queen. She retired from Shell Oil Company and from real estate.
Sunny was a nickname she earned at a young age with her beautiful smile and happy disposition. She brought sunshine into the lives of everyone she knew and always had a smile to share. Sunny was a genuinely kind and gentle person who was always there for you if you needed her. She was a loving and supportive mother and grandmother who loved her family more than anything. A beautiful soul, a beautiful lady, and a cherished gift to all who knew her. Those she touched were changed forever and now we are forever changed again. If you knew Sunny, you loved her and she will be deeply missed by all.
She was preceded in death by her husband August “Mike” Ullrich, mother Ruby Evelyn Queen and father Ralph Owen Queen.
Sunny is survived by her daughter, Jennifer Leigh Ullrich of Katy, Texas; son, Robert Steven Ullrich of Katy, Texas; sister, Patricia Anne Grabarkwitz of Cameron, Texas; brothers, Ralph Owen Queen, Jr. of Clear Lake, Texas, Arthur “Dee” Queen of Trinity, Texas and close friend Billy J. Garner of Houston, Texas; grandchildren, Chet, Robert, Dawn, Patricia, Melanie and Micaela; four great-grandchildren; and many nieces, nephews and close friends.
The family will receive guests for a time of visitation from 12:00 to 3:00 P.M. on Thursday, August 4, 2011 at the Cook-Walden Davis Funeral Home in Georgetown with funeral services at 3:00 P.M. in the chapel of the Cook-Walden Davis Funeral Home with Pastor Dee Queen and Pastor Floyd Hoke both officiating. Burial will follow at I.O.O.F. Cemetery in Georgetown. Serving as pallbearers will be Chet August Ullrich, Robert Steven Ullrich II, James Graham Bolfing, Arthur Dee Queen, Jr., Steven Jeffrey Teel and Jonathan Owen Queen. Honorary pallbearers will be Billy J. Garner and Tyler C. Partain.
