

Daniel Owen Foote Jr. of Hallettsville, TX, formerly of Cibolo, San Antonio and Austin, TX, age 41, died at 12:27 p.m., Thursday, May 12, 2016 from complications of chronic kidney disease resulting in septic shock.Danny was born April 2, 1975 in Pasadena, TX and was a lifelong resident of Texas, growing up in Austin, and later making his home in Burnet, Cibolo, San Antonio and Hallettsville, TX. He graduated from Bowie High School in 1994. Growing up, he was active in motocross, medaling in many races until a knee injury limited his motorcycle racing and riding. While living in Burnet, TX, he discovered his love of horses, coming to own several, Penny being his favorite. He loved fishing with his dad, uncles, cousins and friends and would be found many weekends on a local lake or at the coast.He made his career in residential and commercial roofing, as president and owner of Owen Roofing Company, before recently deciding to pursue a commercial welding career. He was currently top of his class at South Texas Vocational Technical Institute and looking forward to graduation. He was entertaining several job offers at the time of his passing.He is survived by his mother and father, Daniel and Judy Foote, Hallettsville; sister & brother in law, Tamberly and Stephen Janke, Georgetown; daughter, Katlyn Jurado, Killeen; nieces, Lauryn Barker and fiancé Joe Richardson, Belmont, MA & Meaghyn Barker, Georgetown; nephew, Braden Janke, Georgetown; numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins. He is preceded in death by maternal grandparents, Carl Long & Lucille Long Barrerra; paternal grandparents, Jack Foote & Marilyn Foote Collins; many special friends and business associates.Services will be held at 1 p.m., Wednesday, May 18, 2016, at The Gabriels Funeral Home Chapel, Georgetown, TX. Private family interment ceremony to follow at a later date. The family will receive friends and family for a celebration of life reception after the service at the home of Tamberly & Stephen Janke, Georgetown, TX..
