Daniel Gill Moon

Daniel Gill Moon, 56 a native Texan of Florence, passed on Monday, October 3, 2011. Visitation will be held on Thursday, October 6, 2011 from 6:00PM to 8:00PM at The Gabriels Funeral Chapel, 393 North IH35, Georgetown, TX. A funeral service will be held on Friday, October 7, 2011 at 1:00PM at Florence United Methodist Church, 302 East Curry, Florence 76527. Daniel was born October 31, 1954 in Port Arthur, Texas to the late Lester Stewart and Stella Mae Lopez Moon. At a young age Daniel’s family moved to the Alvin area, where he grew up. Daniel and his family moved to the Florence area about 25 years ago. Daniel has worked many years in new home construction, framing houses. He loved to do craftwork and make different pieces for family and friends. Daniel’s second love was his Harley Davidsons; he enjoyed the many long relaxing rides he was able to take in the hill country. Daniel leaves behind to cherish his memory his loving children, Danielle Moon and her husband Corey Winskey and Alexandra Lethco; his grandson, Austin Winskey; his three brothers, Frenchie Broussard and his wife Sherri, Randolph Moon and his wife Mary Anne, and John Moon and his wife Tina; his sister, Marilyn Willis; his nieces, Rachel and Sarah Moon; along with a host of other loving family members and friends.
