

Don was born in Detroit, Michigan, the youngest of three sons of John Mark and Alice Nadon. He graduated with honors from the University of Detroit, earning his bachelor’s degree, and went on to receive a master’s degree in Electrical Engineering from the University of Michigan.
In 1964, Don married Patricia, beginning a devoted partnership that spanned more than six decades. Together they raised four children. In 1976, Don joined Texas Instruments, prompting a move with his family to the Austin area. In 1982, he accepted the role of Vice President of Sales at National Instruments, where he served until his retirement in 1996.
After retiring, Don fully embraced life. He cherished spending time with his family, traveling the world, and creating lasting memories together. He poured his creativity and energy into designing and building a masterful backyard garden complete with a waterfall, transforming it into a peaceful retreat for family and friends. A lifelong athlete, Don was often seen running in the park and proudly completed multiple marathons and triathlons. He also continued to share his expertise through consulting work with COMSOL.
Above all, Don was deeply devoted to his family and steadfast in his Catholic faith, which guided his life and values.
Don is survived by his beloved wife, Patricia; his children, Mark; Robert (Kim); Mary (Charlie); and Ann (Humberto); and his grandchildren, Zachariah, Lance, Jeremy, Allison, Jordan, Trebor, and Annalise. He was predeceased by his brothers RIchard and Bernard, and his granddaughter Danielle.
Don will be deeply missed.
A visitation for Don will be held between 2pm and 7pm on Friday, January 9, 2026 at Cook-Walden Davis Funeral Home, 2900 Williams Drive, Georgetown, Texas 78628, with a eulogy and memory sharing occuring at 5pm, and a rosary beginning at 6pm. Funeral mass will take place at 10am on Saturday, January 10, 2026 at St. John Vianney Catholic Church, 3201 Sunrise Rd, Round Rock, Texas 78665. Don will be laid to rest on Monday, January 12, 2026 at 10am at IOOF Cemetery, 1117 E 7th Street, Georgetown, Texas 78626.
