Donald Gene Travelstead

He is survived by his Son and Daughter- in-law Bob & Mimosa Puntney. Daughter and Son-in-law Becki & Anthony Cordova. 4 Grandchildren Kenzie Lynne, Alannah Skye, Colin James and Dylan Michael-Anthony and 1 Great Granddaughter Wynter Skye! Also survived by his brother Charlie, sister Maggi and nephew Maury Travelstead, along with numerous family members and friends.

In high school Don lettered all 4years in Varsity Basketball. He joined the Navy and served on the nuclear subs, was a championship Boxer and a decorated Navy man. Don graduated from San Jose State with an Electrical Engineering degree and spent many years with Pacific Bell and was in charge of all media during the 1984 Los Angeles Olympics, retiring in 1991.

He was an avid fly fisherman, loved camping (in our 28ft travel trailer), the mountains and traveling to beautiful destinations. And was a die hard Redskins and Celtics Fan!!!

Our Dad loved food.....he was a member of the clean plate club Always! He loved BBQ's, smoking his pipe with his cherrywood tabacco and spending time with his Children and Grandchildren!

He is proceeded in death by his father and mother Maurice and Anna and brothers Maurice, Bill and Denny.

A memorial service for Donald will be held Saturday, November 11, 2023 at 11:00 AM at Cook-Walden Davis Funeral Home, 2900 Williams Drive, Georgetown, TX.
