

Lee was born April 30, 1934, on Sunset Ranch, Travis County, Nameless Road in Leander, Texas to parents Lura Crumbly Fulkes and Charlie Fulkes.
Lee came to Georgetown in 1962 after Texas Crushed Stone moved from Austin. Lee was employed at Texas Crushed Stone for 48 years, retiring in 2000 as Vice President of Production.
Lee was a 50 year member of Masonic Lodge 89 and First United Methodist Church for over 50 years. Lee served Georgetown on the Planning and Zoning Board and two terms on the Georgetown City Council.
Lee was happiest when he was working, fishing, hunting, traveling with family and friends or helping someone.
Lee married the love of his life, Margaret Crider, on April 30, 1955, at First Methodist Church of Leander, Texas. They were blessed with two children, Donnell Lance and Katherine Lura and one grandson, Bradley Allen Bohanan.
Lee is preceded in death by his parents, C. G. Fulkes and Lura Fulkes, in-laws Otto Crider and Katherine Crider, brother C.W. Fulkes, Charles Fulkes and sister Nelba Law; also brothers-in-law Carl Laeo and J.R. (Bob) Crider; sisters-in-law Mildred Fulkes and Zora Mae Fulkes.
Lee is survived by his wife of 66 years, Margaret Crider Fulkes; son Donnell and wife Libby Hogue; daughter Kathy Bohanan and fiancé Ronnie Sandefur; grandson Bradley Bohanan; sister Betty Roe and husband Sonny Roe and sister-in-law Nancy Crider with many nieces and nephews.
Pallbearers are L.A. Rutledge, Larry Ray, Charlie Turner, Gary Brenkley, Mark Dixon, Russell Rutledge and honorary pallbearer is Leo Wood.
The family would like to thank the staff of Accent Care Hospice and Park Place Care Center.
There will be a Visitation at The Gabriels Funeral Chapel, 393 N. IH-35, Georgetown, Texas on Tuesday, April 19, 2022 at 10:00 a.m. Burial to follow at Bagdad Cemetery, Leander, Texas officiated by Reverend Doyle Fulkes.
