

Ernest was born March 21, 1940 in Temple, Texas to Ernst and Ella Hanusch Farrack. He was baptized by Pastor JH Kollmeyer on April 7, 1940 and confirmed March 3, 1955 at Zion Lutheran Church, Walburg. His confirmation verse was Romans 1:16. He was a lifelong member of Zion Lutheran Church, Walburg.
Ernest was a loving and devoted husband to Sarah Jean Teinert Johnson Farrack. They were married on Sept 17, 2011 at Zion Lutheran Church, Walburg.
Surviving Ernest is his wife Sarah Jean Teinert Johnson Farrack, all though he never had any children of his own, he has 5 stepchildren, 10 grandchildren, and 10 great-grandchildren. He is also survived by sister-in-law Elvira Farrack, Stella (Bill) Murrell, Ginger (Aaron) Drager and Audris (KR) Thornton. Ernest has a large extended family that he loved spending time with as well as many friends.
He is preceded in death by 2 sisters and 3 brothers (Maria Farrack Randig, Horace Farrack, August Farrack, Monroe Farrack and Franice Ann Farrack.
He was a devoted son and took care of his parents until their deaths.
He was not only a member of the US Army for 6 years active duty, but he also worked for IBM and Dell, and maintained the family farm that was established in 1908 and certified as a 100 Year Family Land Heritage by the Texas Department of Agriculture in 2009.
He was a wonderful carpenter and mason. He made replicas of the St. Paul Lutheran Church in Serbin, two different Zion Lutheran Churches in Walburg, and the original Zion schoolhouse that he also attended. He also made a replica of the house he spent his first 9 years in and his grandparents’ farmhouse that his parents later bought and left to Ernest. There was nothing he couldn’t do with concrete and his hands. He would make molds of different things and cast them in concrete, including multiple crosses and hearts that he made and gave to family members.
Pallbearers are Jonathan Johnson, Caleb Johnson, Alexander Combatti, Cory Jellison, Chase Pilat, Andres Rodriquez.
Honorary Pallbearers are Kasey Dan Taylor, Nolan Sweeney, Walter Randig, Michael Randig, David Randig and Dwayne Schulze.
A visitation with the family will be held on Thursday, February 8, 2024 from 10:00–11:30 am at The Gabriels Funeral Chapel. The burial service will take place at Weir Cemetery, 1590 Co Rd 120, Georgetown, TX 78626, beginning at Noon followed by a Celebration of life service at Zion Lutheran Church, 6101 FM 1105, Georgetown, TX, 78626, starting at 1:00 pm on Thursday, February 8, 2024.
