Evelyn Billalba Norton

Our friend and mother, Evelyn Billalba Norton, 67, passed on January 18th, 2018. She resided in Georgetown, Texas and was born Evelyn Billalba Fierro on October 7th, 1950 in Odessa, Texas to Antonio Fierro and Lilly Billalba.

Evelyn spent the first half of her life growing up between Dallas and Gonzales, TX, graduating from Gonzales High. She then made her home in Austin, TX and started work. There she met her husband of 16 years, Gary Norton. By way of the military, she and her family enjoyed living abroad in places like Italy, Germany, and Hawaii and enjoyed experiencing different cultures.

Evelyn was an outgoing and adventurous person with a fiery spirit and an elaborate sense of humor, often bringing laughter to those around her. She is survived by her daughters Najaya Fierro, Gia Calvillo, and Brenda Norton; sister Lulu Allred and 5 grandchildren; Anjelica Zamora, Claudia Curtis, Kammie Marquez, Liam and Dillon Curtis.

Evelyn was preceded in death by her mother Lilly, husband Gary Norton, and brother Roy Cardwell.

She will be forever greatly missed by all who had the pleasure of knowing her and her laughter.  

Visitation will be Sunday, January 28, 2018 from 2pm-3pm at The Gabriels Funeral Chapel with Funeral Services immediately following at 3pm.
