Faith Patricia Collins

Faith Patricia Collins was born in Corpus Christi, Texas, October 10, 1921, died in Round Rock, Texas, March 22, 2013. She graduated summa cum laude with a perfect 4.0 from Texas A & I in Kingsville. She obtained her masters degree in Library Science from the University of Texas. She taught high school English in the Edinburg school district; a grant writer for Houston Independent School District and upon retirement, became a grant writer for Communities in Schools in Houston. She will be sorely missed by her large family. She was the mother of five children, Patricia Ruth, Penny Bagby, John Ingle, all of Round Rock,William Ingle of Georgetown and Rome Ingle of Hutto. She was grandmother to 17, one deceased, and had 18 great grandchildren. Her step-children were Wayne Collins of Liberty Hill, Denton Collins of Lubbock and Joe Collins of Portugal, and Bill Collins, deceased. She has 5 step-grandchildren.

As a poet and painter she left many gifts for her family to enjoy. Her last year was spent living at Fairway Vista in Round Rock, Texas.

Visitation will be Tuesday, March 26, 2013 from 6:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M. at Cook Walden Funeral Home, 2900 Williams Drive, Georgetown, Texas. Her funeral will be at 9:30 A.M. on, Wednesday, March 27, 2013 at Round Rock Presbyterian, 4010 Sam Bass Road, Round Rock, Texas 78681, with burial to follow at the I.O.O.F. Cemetery, Georgetown, Texas.

My dear beloved Mother, I miss you so much already. No one could have told me how much pain I would feel from your leaving. I realize now that no matter how old someone becomes, those who love that person will not be ready for them to go home to God. I thank Jesus our Saviour that I will see you again. Love, Penny
