

Felix C. Ramirez, 91, passed away July 5, 2021 surrounded by his family. He was born in Florence, Texas on May 30, 1930 to Manuel and Maria Ramirez. He attended school in Andice, Texas. Felix was a hard-working man who loved the land. He enjoyed gardening, tending to his cattle, visiting with friends, and spending time with his family.
He married Amelia Solis in February 1956. Together, they raised their family in Florence. He was a truck driver for Georgetown/Centex Propane. He was also a farmer, a rancher, and fajita master.
His family was his pride and joy. He was an example of an honest work ethic and a job well done. He and Momo taught the family to live their faith and to love God. He was a founding and lifelong member of Santa Rosa de Lima Catholic Church in Andice. He was actively involved in many parish activities and church events. He was also an active member of the ACTS community.
Felix is preceded in death by his parents Manuel and Maria Ramirez, his wife Amelia, his daughter Sandra R. Merideth and his siblings Manuel Ramirez Jr., George Ramirez, Maria Ramirez and Magdalena (Nena) R. Ramirez
He is survived by his sons David and wife Ana, Daniel and wife Lucy, Sam and wife Connie, and son-in-law David Merideth Jr. Grandchildren: Andy and wife Katryna, Matthew, Manuel and wife Caitlan, Sergio and wife Suzy, Sara, Samantha, Carmen and husband Jesús Anaya, Emilio, Alex, Joe, and Rosie. Great grandchildren: Amelia Ruth, Abigail Elyse, Ava Kay and Esteban Xavier. He is also survived by numerous family members and life-long friends.
Honoring their grandfather as pallbearers will be the grandsons. Serving as honorary pallbearer will be David Merideth, Jr.
The family would like to thank Texas Home Health Care and the nurses and staff of Baylor Scott and White Hospital (Round Rock) for their dedication and care. The family also thanks Loretta Peña for her companionship.
A time of visitation will be held from 6:00 to 8:00 PM on Friday, July 9th with the recitation of the rosary to begin at 7:00 PM at Santa Rosa de Lima Catholic Church in Andice. The funeral mass will take place Saturday, July 10th at 11:00 AM also at Santa Rosa. Burial will be at Florence City Cemetery following the mass.
