Florence Elizabeth Westrand Lane

Florence Elizabeth Westrand-Lane April 7, 1950 – November 17, 2009 Resident of Holland, Texas. After a courageous 4 year battle with cancer, Flo passed away peacefully at her home in Holland. Flo was born and raised in Vancouver, BC Canada. She was one of 6 children born to the late James and Mary Westrand and was the wife and best friend of W Tom Lane of Holland for 43 years. She was the proud mother of William Lane and his wife Carol and grandmother to Anthony, John, Lena and Wesley. Flo was preceded in death by her brother Jim Westrand and will forever be remembered by her devoted sisters Sandi Westrand, Carol Westrand, Mary-lou Reandy and Suzan Gregg along with countless other friends and family whom were blessed to know her. Flo enjoyed listening to music, camping and hiking, riding on motorcycles, laughing, being with her family, having fun with friends. She dedicated 21 years of her life to helping children with the Department of Human Services and Child Protective Services. Flo touched the lives of many people with her smile and generosity and maintained her trademark sense of humor all the way to the end. Friends and family are invited to attend a “Celebration of Life” memorial on Sunday November 22, 2009 at 2:30 PM at Holland First United Methodist Church, 204 Hogan St, Holland, TX.
