She graduated from UT of Brownsville TX.
She leaves behind three of her grown children Katherine and Michael Rios. Her oldest Gabriel Gracia. Her grandchildren Zoey and Fin Rios from Michael and Samantha Rios. Her grandchildren Mila and Perla Gracia from Gabriel Gracia and Stephanie Davis. Her brothers and sister, Guadalupe Motley, Felipe and Jose Gracia. Her sister in law Angelina Gracia. Her nieces and nephews Jacob, Ashley, Nicole Gracia, Franchesca Perales and Iris and Joe Gracia. We all lived in Austin and surrounding cities and saw each other just about every other weekend.
She worked at Bailey Middle School where she was lead custodian and dear to so many of the teachers. She would drop what she was doing to be there for her teachers when they were going through it and or just to chat about the children and their passions.
She was kind, energetic, a caring soul who taught me that helping someone needed nothing in return. She was both blunt and unapologetically correct in her beliefs and values when it came to her faith in God and her faith in what a person could and should strive for. A loyal and respectful friend. A mom we deserved and deserved even more from us. She was the sun we grew from and flower that nurtured us. She deserved a better or a much more comfortable life but you'd never hear that from her. If you asked her she was blessed and surrounded by the love and what the Lord provided was all the blessing to be grateful for. She gave up so much to be the right kind of mom and did the best she could with what she had. We are forever grateful and heart broken we don't get to see the joy our children would continue to bring her. She isn't with us daily, and we can't see her texts anymore. But we carry her love, her lessons, her smile and the best and worst of her personality traits with in our hearts, mind, and souls everyday we live. We see her in our children's eyes and hear her in our memories.
