

Frank was born in Bryan, Texas to Royce and Frank C. Litterst, Jr on May 14, 1946. He attended Buda Elementary School in Buda, Texas and A&M Consolidated High School in College Station, Texas. Frank also played football for Texas A&M University before transferring and graduating from Stephen F. Austin University where he met his future wife. He married Patsy Fullerton on May 24, 1969 in Mexia, Texas. He worked as a teacher and coach in Tarkington ISD for 3 years before moving to Austin where he worked for Southwestern Life Insurance Company beginning a 20-year career in the insurance business. Fulfilling a lifetime dream, Frank was able to open the San Gabriel Inn Restaurant which began his second career of working in the food service industry. Frank was a true people person who enjoyed working in management for Mayfield Dairy Queen in the Austin area until retirement.
After retirement, Frank and Patsy became full time RVers who enjoyed traveling around the country visiting and exploring all parts of the United States.
Frank is preceded in death by his parents, Royce and Frank C. Litterst, Jr.
Frank is survived by Patsy, his wife of almost 50 years; son, Frank C. Litterst, IV and wife Kelli of Georgetown, Texas; son, Keith Litterst and wife Amanda of Cedar Park, Texas; sister, Kathy Gough and husband Carl of Bryan, Texas; brother, Mike Litterst and wife Carlette of Georgetown, Texas and numerous nieces and nephews who knew him as “Uncle Bubba”. And, last but not least, he was Poppy to the love of his life, his granddaughter, Macey Litterst of Georgetown, Texas.
A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.
