It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Frank Gregory White, Jr. on May 17, 2026. Frank was born on January 21, 1941, to Frank Gregory White, Sr. and Agnes Crotty White in Houston, Texas. He obtained a Mechanical Engineering Degree from the University of Texas. He enlisted in the US Army Reserves in 1968 where he obtained the rank of Lieutenant Colonel, was a member of the US Army Reserve All Rifle team and served with the 75th MAC Unit until 2001.
He met his beloved wife, Suzanne “Sue” Peissel in Houston, and they were married on August 27, 1966, at St. Martin’s Episcopal Church. Their marriage lasted an amazing 58 years. Frank had a long career with Houston Lighting and Power. After retiring in 2001 from Houston Lighting and Power, Sue and Frank moved to Lakeway to be closer to family. His first retirement was actually short lived as he started working at Austin Energy. He proudly maintained his Professional Engineers license for many years after he officially retired from Austin Energy mid 2000s.
He was actively involved in the Lakeway Church and many Lakeway community activities – he loved filming the many productions put on by the popular Sing-A-Long group. He enjoyed hosting groups at the “Ranch” and teaching many to shoot. He loved telling a good story – especially about the robbery and the snake bite! His love of learning new things led him to enjoy many hobbies including tennis, magic, shooting sports, scuba diving, dancing and photography.
He was actively involved with his children (Ann-Marie and Greg) and was a loving grandfather to his four grandchildren. He also loved to travel -- he traveled the world with Sue and also went on numerous family vacations with his children and grandchildren.
Frank is survived by his daughter, Ann-Marie Holliday, grandchildren, Jacqueline and Jessica Holliday and Ethan and Owen White; son-in-law Dean Holliday; daughter-in-law Laura Romano; brother-in-law Charles Peissel and sister-in-law Rebecca Doke. He was preceded in death by his wife Sue, and his son Greg.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to The Michael J. Fox Foundation.
