Frank Andrew "Andy" Wollam

Frank Andrew ‘Andy’ Wollam, age 86, formerly of Bonita Springs, Florida, passed away July 3, 2016 in Round Rock, Texas. He was born to the late Frank and Ruby (Andrews) Wollam on March 14, 1930 in Columbus, Ohio. He married Doris Rittger Ruth in Valdosta, Georgia on April 7, 1953.

Frank grew up in Jerome, attending New California schools. He later moved to Columbus where he graduated from Columbus North High School in 1948. He attended The Ohio State University and joined the Ohio National Guard. He worked at Westinghouse, Liberty Mutual Insurance Company and retired from the Bron Shoe Company in 1992. A volunteer football stadium usher at The Ohio State University, he was an avid football and basketball fan for the Buckeyes. After retiring and moving to Bonita Springs, Florida, he spent his days on the golf course working on the game he was passionate about.

Predeceased by son, Daniel James in 2008, sister, Irene Bluff (1983) and brother-in-law, Dr. John R. Bluff (2011).

Survivors include his wife, Doris; daughter and son-in-law, Sharon and Thomas Burch of Georgetown, Texas; daughter-in-law, Deborah Wollam, Troy, Ohio; grandchildren, Alissa (Danny) Richardson, Brett and Ben (Danielle) Burch and Katie Wollam; great-granddaughters, Reagan Richardson and Hallie Burch; brother-in-law, Edward (Bud) and his wife Barbara Ruth; sister-in-law, Trudie Ruth; as well as several nephews and a niece survive him.

Graveside service will be held on Friday, July 22, 2016 at 11:30 in Jerome Township Cemetery, Jerome, Ohio.
