
Glory Ellen Singer Green (Mighty Mite) passed away at the age of 75 in Georgetown, Texas, on December 29, 2011 at her home from ovarian cancer. Glory was born on February 14, 1936, to proud parents Samuel and Faye Singer in Denver, Colorado. Glory was the older sister to her brother Irvin (predeceased) and sister Janey. Glory attended public school in Denver graduating from North Denver High School in 1953. Glory received her MRS degree from CU in Boulder. In November of 1967, Glory met the love of her life and married Martin Stuart Green in Denver on June 7, 1969, at which time they moved their small family to Dallas, Texas.
She had numerous administrative positions; her favorites were as a personal assistant – first to J. Livingston Kosberg and then Russ Robinson of Houston, Texas. Glory played golf, bridge, and mah jongg, lifted weights and did Pilates for over twenty years. Glory had a busy social life no matter where she was and will be greatly missed in all the greatly missed in all the groups she was actively involved. Included was Congregation Havurah Shalom in Georgetown, Texas, where she put her organizational skills to use in several volunteer capacities.
Glory is survived by her loving husband, Marty; her daughters, Lynn Adrienne Doescher and husband Edward of Webster, NY and Debbie Sue Green of Houston, TX; stepchildren, Cindy Marsac and Mitchell Green and wife Julie; and sister, Janey Posner and husband Larry. Glory’s grandchildren include Trey Doescher, Justin Doescher, Alyssa Green and Jake Marsac. She also leaves behind her loving dogs, Buddy and Maisy.
Glory’s funeral service was held at 9:00 A.M on Friday, December 30, 2011 in the chapel of the Cook-Walden Davis Funeral Home with Mr. Steve Smith officiating. Glory’s burial in Houston, Texas, took place at Temple Emanuel Cemetery on December 30, 2011 at 2:30 P.M. with Rabbi Roy Walters officiating.
