Guadalupe Reyes

Guadalupe Reyes, 63, a longtime resident of Bertram, passed away on Tuesday, March 10, 2015. The family will gather for a Visitation on Thursday, March 12, 2015, from 6:00PM to 8:00PM at The Gabriels Funeral Chapel, 393 North IH, Georgetown, with a Rosary to be recited at 7:00PM. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday, March 13, 2015 at 10AM at Holy Cross Catholic Church, 520 State Road 29, Bertram, TX. Interment will follow at Liberty Hill Cemetery. Mr. Reyes was born January 1, 1952 in Weslaco, TX to Teodoro and Maria Reyes. He graduated from Bertram High School's last graduating class in 1970. After high school he began working, operating Reyes Concrete in Bertram with his brothers for many years. On August 4, 1973, he married Silvia Gonzales with whom he shared the joys of life together for more than 41 years. In his spare time he enjoyed fishing, entering bbq cookoffs, coaching his children and grandchildren in all sports and loved everything associated with the Texas A&M Aggies - WHOOP! He is preceded in death by his parents, and a brother, Frank. He leaves behind to cherish his memory: wife, Silvia; son, Eric Reyes and wife Vinnie; daughters, Melissa Reyes, Nikki Gomez and husband Aaron, Silvie Deluna and husband John, Sophie Cordova and husband Daniel; nine grandchildren (with one on the way) and 1 great-grandchild on the way; sisters, Mary Escamilla and Concha Knight; brothers, John Reyes, Ted Reyes, numerous nieces and nephews and other loving family and friends.
