I will miss you Harvey.... 
I LOVE YOU!!!

I will miss spending time with you and your letters which included a recipe you wanted me to try. Our talks about the hummingbirds got me putting out feeders all around the house and I loved watching them for hours. You loved plants and shared that hobby with me which I enjoyed. Miss you! Your Little Brother.

Harvey was a wonderful Big Brother to Johnny and he was my Big Brother by Marriage. We loved his gentle encouragements as only an older brother could share. He was a good man who loved his family and showed it by visits or phone calls. His laugh and his life will never be forgotten.

I will always cherish my time with Harvey and will attempt to emulate the characteristic I loved most about him - his self discipline. He led an orderly, precise life filled with goals, writing journals and ideas. I'll miss our long conversations and his letters. So long for now, my brother.

With sadness, I just read the news of his passing. He was my Captain for a number of years in the HFD at Station 6-C I can honestly say, he was unlike anyone I ever knew. R.I.P. Captain Birdwell

We are saddened with Harvey's passing.  We will miss seeing him taking a walk with his little brown hat or waving at him as he passed by on his golf cart.  Our thoughts and prayers are with you.
