Henry D Wakefield

Henry Dale Wakefield, age 85, of Georgetown, Texas passed away on Thursday, November 4, 2021. Henry was born February 28, 1936 in Latham, Kansas to Bernice Wright Wakefield and Manley Victor (Penny) Wakefield.

He was an Army Specialist 4th class and was stationed in Frankfurt, Germany from 1956-1958. He received his Bachelor's of Science in Agriculture and a Master's of Science at Kansas State University. Henry later worked in sales and financial planning. His last employment was as a pit boss at the Coushatta Casino in Louisiana. He loved playing poker and won several big tournaments.

Henry was preceded in death by his ex-wife, Kay Stevens Wakefield.

He is survived by his wife Diane of 41 years; his cherished daughter Traci Ann Hoagland (Don Hoagland); his daughter Julie Ann Wakefield; and grandchildren, Chase Nugen of Wellington, Kansas, Makenze Bullins (J.W.) of Liberty, Missouri, Cody Wakefield (Sammie Jo) of Kenner, Louisiana, and great granddaughter Waverly Rayn Bullins.

Henry's clubs, church, and lodge affiliations include: Lions Club (Crowley, LA), Mason Lodge 101 (60 years), and Sun City Poker, Zoomers, Country & Western Dance Club, and The Worship Place.

Henry's final resting place will be at Central Texas State Veterans Cemetery in Killeen, Texas at a later date.
