James Richard Burks
August 2, 1950 – August 29, 2022
James Richard Burks was born in Waxahachie, TX to Preston and Clovis Burks on 08/02/1950. He graduated from Lubbock Christian High School and then attended Texas Tech University.
He worked at Cabinets Deluxe from 1985-2021 when he retired. He served in the Army National Guard and retired as a Staff Sergeant in 1980. He was a member of the Refrigeration Service Engineers Society since 1969 and a member of the Refrigeration Service Engineers Society Auxiliary since 1986.
He preceded in death by his father Preston Burks and mother Clovis Burks, brother-in-law Gary Rogers
He is survived by his children John Burks, Jason Burks and wife Kerry Burks. His sisters Jett Rogers and Bridgette and Joe Brazell, Brothers Kent Burks and wife Della Burks, Chem Burks and wife Joni Burks grandchildren Taylor Burks, Justin Burks, Hunter Burks, Cody Burks, and Colton Burks and a number of nieces and nephews.
