

James Michael Key passed away Monday March 21, 2016 in Georgetown, Texas, at the age of 65, after a long battle with cancer. Jim was born December 6, 1950 to John and Dorothy Key in Oak Park, Illinois.
Jim was a graduate of Northern Illinois University, and worked most of his career in Rockford, Illinois. He retired from Gunite Corporation after 27 years where he worked as Corporate Controller. Jim pursued his passion of fishing in retirement, and spent many enjoyable hours on the lakes in Wisconsin, northern Illinois, and central Texas. He was very active in the Sun City Hunting and Fishing Club, serving as an officer on the Board for the last 4 years.
Jim is survived by his wife, Aleta; brother, Jeff and wife Diane; sister, Meredith Delgato and husband Fernando; aunt, Barbara Larson and husband Gordon; aunt, Elaine Edwards; sister and brother- in law, Janet and Ron Reiling; and numerous nieces, nephews, family and friends.
A memorial service to celebrate James’ life will be held at 10:00 A.M. on Wednesday, March 30, 2016 in the chapel of the Cook-Walden Davis Funeral Home in Georgetown, Texas with a reception to follow in the Southwestern Room at the funeral home.
