Janice Ruth Dean

Janice Ruth Dean, 85, of Georgetown, TX went to her heavenly home on Saturday, June 24, 2023.  Janice was born on November 11, 1937 to R.D. and Ella Fletcher in Georgetown.  She married the love of her life of 69 years, Lloyd (Sonny) Dean on February 28, 1953.

Janice was known to her family as, “Granny”.  Most of her life was spent as a homemaker.  She loved to garden and go fishing.

Mrs. Dean was preceded in death by her parents R.D. and Ella Fletcher of Georgetown, her in-laws, Lowell and Alma Dean of Andice, as well as her husband Sonny Dean of Georgetown.  Also preceded by siblings, Howard Fletcher of Gilmer, TX, Faye Marshall, and Alma Fletcher of Georgetown, TX.

She is survived by her daughters, Diane (Dean) Homeyer and Dena (Dean) Parker both of Georgetown.  Granddaughter, Amanda (Mandy) Homeyer of Hutto, grandson Michael Homeyer and wife Lisa, granddaughter Kacy (Parker) Mikes and husband Jeremy, great grandkids Scott Homeyer, Rob Homeyer, Bruce Homeyer, Colter Mikes and Kylie Mikes, all of Georgetown.

A graveside service will take place on Friday, June 30, 2023 at IOOF Cemetery in Georgetown, beginning at 10am.
