
Jeffrey McFadden Adams, 52 of Florence, passed away Thursday, September 13, 2007 at his residence following a four year fight with kidney cancer. Memorial services with military honors will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Monday, September 17, 2007 in the First United Methodist Church, 411 E. University in Georgetown with Dr. Jim Porter officiating. Jeff was born November 12, 1954 to Neil McFadden and Joyce (Taylor) Adams in Camp Lejeune, North Carolina. The family relocated to Texas, where Jeff was a 1974 graduate of Georgetown High School. Jeff proudly served his country as a member of the United States Marine Corps from 1974-1976; being honorably discharged as a corporal. He married Krista Lindholm on September 17, 1977 at St. Peter Lutheran Church in Walburg. He went to work for Coca-Cola Austin for fourteen years and then on to Modern Woodmen of America Insurance Company where he was the agency manger in Austin, retiring in Nov. 2006 after 16 years of service. Jeff enjoyed hunting, ranching, and cooking. He was a champion at barbeque and chili cook-offs, and he was well known throughout the area for his award-winning barbeque. Above all, he loved gathering with family and friends, and his loyalty and devotion to his family and friends will never be forgotten. He was preceded in death by his parents. Jeff is survived by his wife of 30 years; Krista of Florence, sons; Bradley (Mandy Shelton) of Georgetown, Brett of Florence, sisters; Julie (Jeff Clark) of San Diego, CA., Katie (Mark Kalpakis) of Fort Worth, brother; Jon Adams of Austin, nieces and nephews: Adam and Amie Lankford, George Kalpakis, Indiana Pinci, Jonathan Domel (Stacy and great-niece Abby), Jessica Domel, Laura Ann Lindholm. Brother and sisters-in-law; Paul (Mary) Lindholm and Karen Domel, numerous uncles, aunts and cousins. The family wishes to express their appreciation to Dr. John Constanzi, Tracy, Peggy, Vivian, Richard and all of the staff of Lonestar Oncology and Southern Care Hospice for their devotion and compassion.
