My ex-husband Alan Smith was a close friend of Jerry’s in the Navy. They enjoyed singing folk music together in numerous places all the while they were in the Navy together. I enjoyed hearing them sing and I especially remember the big toothy grin on Jerry’s face when he joyfully sang Mule Skinner’s Blues!! It was such a delight to see and hear!

One of my best memories was to go and see Pam and Dr. Jerry. No better chiropractor and his knowledge was stimulating.  There wasn't something he didn't know. I pray the family is at peace because Jerry was loved, respected and he gave his all for others so selflessly. The world was better because of Dr Casebolt. 

I can remember Daddy’s guitar. Dad played music for us all and Mom sang along. It was some our best times together as as a family. It makes me so happy to hear my son Ben play his Grandpas guitar for his own boys. Such a gift to pass down.

My heart goes out to the Casebolt family. I'm so very sorry for your loss. Jerry Casebolt, hands down the best chiropractor and human being I've ever had the pleasure of being in the same room with. My mother, Carol Felauer started seeing Dr. Casebolt back in the 80's, I was just a teenager. There was always this feeling of total comfort being in the energy of this great being. Adjustments were always awesome but visits with him were more than that for me. He had a way of helping me heal my heart and I'm so grateful to him for that.   

Jerry and Pam your caring, inspired spirits were distinct and deeply memorable and will forever me be a source of celebration in my heart ❤️.

I just heard Dr. Casebolt passed away.  I was a patient of his for years and will cherish the memories of our sessions.  God bless you Pam and family.💙🙏

I had just sent an email to Jerry two nights ago and for some odd reason thought I should Google to see if he retired.   I am so saddened by this news.  Jerry was a rare gifted healer, a kind friend, and a good person.  Jerry I know that you were ready when the time came upon you.  Selfishly, so many of us were not ready to lose you.  God bless you in your next journey.  I am so glad  I had the privilege to be healed and touched by your brilliant hands.  God speed - I know your friend guided you home.  

I just read about Dr Casebolt’s passing. He helped me heal & was a kind part of my life. Pam & family, I will keep you in my prayers.  

We just found out about Jerry Casebolts passing. He was the best chiropractor we ever went to. He will be sorley missed. He had a way of speaking with his stories. He kept you laughing the whole time he was treating you so it would not hurt so bad when he put your bones back in place. Our condolences to Pam and the family. I always enjoyed our conversations when I went in for an appointment. He was never in a hurry and always made you feel important.

 In case you can’t tell by now….I loved Jerry Casebolt so very much. I hugged him and told him so every single time we saw each other. He was so much to me. My client and my chiropractor. My friend. My confidant and counselor. He was an honorary dad and uncle. A great teacher and mentor on so many levels. He was my fan and supporter. It was an honor to have had our time together. 

As another friend and client that Doc and I shared through the years would say…..Jerry has now crossed over to the greater understanding. Where I know he will forever be with me as one of my many angels from here on earth.


He loved a good debate and we shared a common interest in discussing why we each may think, believe or feel a certain way on any good or given topic. Regardless, there was always an open dialogue. He and Pam have witnessed me go through all the trials and tribulations as well as all of life’s celebrations, and I with them, for the past 20 years. 

It was always apparent that his greatest love was Pam and his family. There was never a single time that his face did not beam with joy and his eyes did not sparkle with that crooked, mischievous smile when talking about him and Pam’s life adventures and the days of meeting, courting and marrying. I could see how he still looked at her the same way I would imagine he did in their beginnings. They would sometimes spontaneously break out into a little song or dance, a quick sweet smooch or embrace in between or after their sessions. Cherished times that always reminded me of my own mom and dad’s relationship.

He made it his mission to have “a happy wife, happy life”. It was always apparent how much he admired and valued her contribution not only to their family but to their practice as well. He always deferred to her as “the boss” and referred to her as the queen of the castle. Especially when he got to yakking with patients and she’d have to crack the whip to get him back on track. Which we all know was A LOT!

I usually worked on Jerry first while Pam went to run errands. He usually came in giving updates on whatever current projects he was working on and the latest news about the kids and grandkids since our last visit. He would give the cliff note version and then say Pam would fill me in on the rest. It was apparent how much he loved, honored and appreciated each one’s individuality, expression and journey.  He was always a champion behind the scenes for each and every one of you. Hoping and wanting for you what you were hoping and wanting for yourself. I want to put into words what I intended to try to convey at Doc’s funeral service, but found somewhat difficult to express at the time.

When I think of Doc, I am at a loss of where to start. I am overwhelmed, in the best of ways, with the fondest of memories, moments, love, admiration and gratitude. 

Doc left his mark and made an impact in his life. Plain and simple. To his family, friends, country, colleagues, patients, community, with his dedication to the Masons and Scottish Rite, as well as other various organizations and projects throughout the years. He definitely made a tremendous impact on me and my life and contributed to my path of growth personally as well as professionally.

Casebolt had a reputation that preceded him in the healing arts community of the surrounding Texas Hill Country area. Starting a massage therapy practice in Austin in the early 90’s, I too had heard of this ole medicine man chiropractor in Liberty Hill. My grandmother had even been one of his first patients and would drive all the way from Kingsland to see him. It wasn’t until years later, that I would finally meet the legend, when I moved out to join some of my family in the Highland Lakes area. In January 2001 I started my new practice on the town square in Burnet. Soon after, a new client who was also a patient of Dr. C’s recommended my work to him and Pam. They joined my practice and then shortly thereafter, I, too, joined his practice as one of his patients.

Jerry was a man of integrity first and foremost. He was generous. With his time and resources. He was a yakker. (We had that in common.) He was a story teller. A writer and a poet. A musician. He was a romantic. An optimist. A jokester. A philosopher. A seeker as well as a sage.  He was confident, yet humble in his convictions. So we talked a lot through the years. About life, death and everything in between. Nothing was off limits with Doc. We didn’t always agree but that was the fun part. He loved a good debate and we 

I just learned of Jerry’s passing and my heart is heavy for your loss, as well as for all of his Patients.  He was an exceptional human being, a Poet, a Philosopher,  a great healer, and a wise soul. 
 I appreciated his guidance thru the many years I saw him. I enjoyed my visits with Pam while I would wait for my turn. The world will never be the same.

I was sad to hear of Dr. Casebolt's passing- he was a personal mentor to me as well as the best chiropractor I've ever known.  I love the photograph you used in the obituary- it perfectly captures all aspects of what I loved about him!

My heart sank when I recently heard of the passing of dear Doc Casebolt. I had so many inspirational and enlightening experiences with him over the decades. Doc was a unique bright light and a gift to the world, he helped so many with his talents for healing, and was so full of love, knowledge, humor, wit and curiosity. Several generations of my family will miss him greatly. 
His was a life very well lived and fulfilled.

I was five years old when Dad began his journey to becoming a Chiropractor. He dedicated himself to a life of learning and helped so many. He was full of knowledge and could talk about most anything. Dad and I walked together to school. He would walk me to St. Mary's then continue to Palmer.  Dad would patiently listen as I jabbered on about life. I miss those talks deeply. 

Dr. Casebolt was a such wonderful human and gifted healer.  I learned so much from him about how my body works and about life in general.  I will miss his healing touch and his stories.

Pam and family, my thoughts and prayers have been with you since I heard of his stroke and will continue to be now that I have learned of his passing.  You were so blessed to have him in your lives every day.  I know you will always carry in your heart some of the joy that he bestowed on us all.

Bob and I were deeply saddened to learn of Dr. Casebolt’s death.   I called today to get appts. for  us and heard the message, I was numb.    We have been patients (and friends) for over 38 years.   
He was a unique doctor, very caring, attentive, talented - like no other.   Never to be replaced.   We always enjoyed our visits in many ways.   We felt better and we always learned something from him.  
RIP Dr. Casebolt.     May God Bless Pam and the family.

I have gone to Dr Casebolt for over 42 years . Don’t think i would be walking except for him . I have had so many things wrong with my body over the years but he always lnew exavtly how to help me . I thank God for him and his help and friendship for so many years  Pam and his family are such precious people . My prayers and love go out to each one of them . May God hold you in the palm of his hand . Until we all meet again . 

The first time I received chiropractic help from Dr. Casebolt I was driven to Liberty Hill by my then chiropractor in San Antonio, because he was her chiropractor and she felt he could better solve the problem I was having at the time. That was the beginning of  25 years of treatments and friendship. There wasn't a spinal problem Dr. C couldn't resolve, and the sharing of kindness, understanding, generosity, wit and healing were incomparable. His death has left a BIG hole in the lives of all of us who through the many years were his patients. The drive from San Antonio to Liberty Hill was a joy. My deepest condolences to Pam and the entire Casebolt family.

I loved reading everyone’s stories & tributes to Dr Casebolt . I share & agree with everyone . I have driven to visit him & ask for his wisdom for 35 years . He has shared his talents with my children & all of my grandsons . We are all forever grateful for all the loving care he has shown to everyone of us . I feel like he & Pam are my family and cherish them dearly . He was our hero , no matter what was going on in our lives his healing hands made our pain disappear , while his wisdom healed our souls . 
He was also a little magical . Here’s one of my stories . I was recovering from a massive auto/ pedestrian accident . I had not been able to use my right hand to even feed myself for several months . Each time I would come in he would touch my wrist & tell me no it’s not ready yet . Finally one day he said ok it’s ready now . He took my hand & did some magical adjustment . A huge ball of white light flew out of my wrist across his exam room ! Of course I was astounded & said “ Did you see that?”  He calmly said yes , it was just energy - like it happened everyday !! Well needless to say , my wrist worked just fine after that day .

The rank and decoration of the 33rd Degree of the Scottish Rite is among the three highest honors that may be bestowed by Scottish Rite Masonry. It is symbolized by the White Hat that Jerry proudly wears. That high honor is conferred on much less than one percent of Freemasons, world-wide. It is reserved for only those men of high character and dignity….. and is conferred in recognition of their outstanding service to their community, their faith and their fellow citizens. Jerry Casebolt was such a man. My Brother, thank you for sharing your life so wonderfully with the friends, patients and family with whom you were surrounded.  

We loved going to visit Dr. Casebolt and will miss him dearly. My daughter called him "Docka Casebolt." He always had a good story to tell and was the best in his profession. We love you Dr. Casebolt and Ms. Pam! 

My husband and I have been dedicated fans of Jerry Casebolt for many, many years.  Not only for his excellent chiropractic care, but also for his gentleness, humor and uncanny wisdom. We wish him well on his last journey and send our love and sympathy to his family.  RIP Dr. Jerry.  We'll miss you.

Dr Casebolt was a Liberty Hill icon for almost as long as I can remember.   I had friends in Austin in the 70's who worshipped him, and who drove here routinely for appointments.  The only thing I knew about Liberty Hill back then was that this incredible healer lived and worked here.    When I moved to Liberty Hill 12 years ago I couldn't wait to see him, and I discovered that all that high praise was true.  He was the best chiropractic I have ever had the privilege of seeing in my life.   On top of that, he was a marvelous human being, a funny, sweet, smart and caring man, as well as a true healer.  I am so, so sorry that he is gone.  Liberty Hill has lost a true jewel from its crown, a  man who put this town on the map.

How do you begin to honor a man who touched so many people.  As some have already mentioned, there are not enough words.  Kind, happy,  thoughful, giving are some of the words that come to mind when I think of him.

I was apprehensive the first time I went to Jerry but he put me at ease with the first adjustment.  He had an uncanny ability to know when I released and let go before he would adjust me.  From then on I knew I was in the hands of a healer not just a chiropractor.

I will miss you but will always remember your stories, your teaching, your jokes and your spirit.  All my love to Pam and the  family.

What a joyful and unusual man!  Healer, teacher, lodge brother (and sweat lodge brother), Jerry's bundle of energy will live in each of us who were fortunate to know him...  🌷

Incredible magician, storyteller without parallel, spinner of tall tales, embracer of the universe, joyous comedian, unsurpassed healer. Jerry Casebolt willingly allowed a brilliant light to shine through him. Always. Always. Always. He showed the way to extend love. 

His beautiful smile greeted me every other week for the past 15 years. His skilled hands led my body to alignment. Doc’s meaningful words filled my mind and lifted my thoughts to a higher plane. 

Casebolt’s life of generous service inspired me to keep giving. He was a shaper and molder of men and women. His creative genius propelled him to write, to invent, to think “outside the box.”  Sheila Payne nailed it. There aren’t enough words. I can empty the dictionary and not completely honor this giant of a man. 

He loved. He loved life and his part in it. He loved Pam, his family, his patients, his friends. He loved.  And now he extends that Love from the Oneness wherein he exists. 

I carry his gentle, loving  spirit with me. 

There are no words sufficient to express the loss and sadness I feel. Dr. Casebolt was more than a chiropractor, he was a healer, a teacher, and a friend. He was so wise in many ways. I wish I had taken advantage of the wisdom he was willing to share. His passing will leave a void in my heart. I pray he knew how much I appreciated him.  💔

I was deeply saddened when I learned of Jerry’s illness and passing. The world is a poorer place without him. Brother Jerry was one of the first Texas brothers I met when I moved to Austin about 20 years ago. He was my friend, mentor, fellow advisor for the Demolay, a fellow Past Master in Robert Burns Lodge, a brother Scottish Rite Mason and most of all another lover of esoteric discussions and learning. Bro. Jerry was one of a kind. He helped me through good times and bad. God speed Jerry on your journey to that house not made with hands. We will meet again one day. 



We knew Jerry a long time. First time meeting Jerry was when I (Betty) had to see a chiropractor.  My mother-in-law told me about Jerry. When I went to see him I was scared to death for him to adjust my back. He finally got me to relax so he could give me an adjustment.  After that David and I had many appointments with him. It's been at least 30 years since the first time. Every time we went to see him he was always laughing and telling funny stories. He would also give us some very good advise for our health issues. Always happy, kind, caring, and loved his life, his family, and everyone around him. 
We will greatly miss Jerry.
