1949 – 2025
Jerry Curtis Goss, born on December 1, 1949, passed away peacefully on October 14, 2025, at the age of 75. He was a resident of Georgetown, Texas. Born and raised in Austin, Texas, Jerry spent his entire life in the community he loved.
A proud graduate of Reagan High School, Jerry went on to serve his country in the U.S. Army, completing basic training at Fort Bliss in El Paso and later stationed in Germany. He was honorably discharged and returned home to continue his education, earning a bachelor’s degree in psychology from the University
of Texas at Austin.
Jerry dedicated his career to public service as a Manager, OIG Data Mining, for the Inspector General of the U.S. Department of Veterans Aairs, a role he found deeply meaningful. Outside of work, he embraced life with curiosity, humor, and heart. He was an avid bass fisherman on Lake Travis, a devoted fan of science fiction shows and films, and a passionate reader of mysteries. He loved music, good food, and the company of friends and family—often hosting lively cookouts that brought everyone together.
In 1996, Jerry married the love of his life, Sandra Gomez Goss. Together, they made homes in Spicewood, Lakeway, Buda, Round Rock, and Georgetown, always sharing their lives with beloved dogs who were part of the family.
Jerry will be remembered for his warmth, his wit, and his generous spirit.
He is survived by his devoted wife, Sandra G Goss; his daughters, Elizabeth Mitchell and Evelyn Apple; his grandson, Felix Apple; and his sister, Robin Doak.
Jerry’s life was full of love, laughter, and purpose. He will be dearly missed by all who knew him.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to the ----"Wounded Warrior Project”, a cause close to Jerry’s heart.
A memorial service will be held at Cook-Walden Davis Funeral Home, located at 2900 Williams Drive, Georgetown, TX 78628, on November 5, 2025, from 10:30 am to 11:30 pm. For those unable to attend the service, you can join via this link to watch the livestream https://vimeo.com/event/5487160
A committal service will follow at Central Texas State Veterans Cemetery, located at 11463 TX-195, Killeen, TX 76542, on November 5, 2025, from 1:00 pm to 1:30 pm.
