Joan Nancy Bostrom

Joan Nancy Bostrom, age 82, of Georgetown, Texas, passed away on Saturday, December 11, 2010. She was born on April 26, 1928 in Melrose, Massachusetts. Joan married Norman Bostrom in 1947. They moved to Austin, Texas in 1950 and then later moved to Georgetown, Texas in 1973.

Joan was an avid golfer. She liked to spend time on the water, especially fishing on the Gulf Coast. Joan enjoyed playing bridge and loved animals. She had a great sense of humor.

She will be deeply missed by her family and friends.

She leaves behind to cherish her memories is her loving husband of 63 years, Norman Bostrom of Georgetown, Texas; sons, John Erik Bostrom and Alex Bostrom both of Georgetown, Texas; daughter, Nancy Bigler and husband William of Georgetown, Texas; granddaughter, Jennifer; and great-granddaughter, Hannah.

The family will receive guests for a time of visitation from 12:00 - 2:00 P.M. on Thursday, December 16, 2010 at Cook-Walden Davis Funeral Home in Georgetown, Texas with a funeral service in the chapel at 2:00 P.M. Interment will follow at I.O.O.F. Cemetery in Georgetown, Texas.
